Turkey Meatballs

What more can I say besides; bon appetite!

Serves 1


For this recipe you will need:

1/2 can chopped tomatoes

100g of turkey mince meat (under 5% fat)

1 egg white

Cracked black pepper

Extra virgin olive oil

1 garlic clove

1/2 red onion

5 basil leaves

Method:

1) In a bowl, place the raw mince meat, egg white and black pepper and combine.

2) In a sauce pan, pour in a little extra virgin olive oil and heat over a medium/heat heat.

3) Roughly chop the garlic clove and throw it into the heated oil.

4) Now it's time to get your hands dirty and form the mince meat into 5 even balls.

6) Turn the heat down to medium and add the meatballs into the pan with the garlic.

7) Once the meatballs are half cooked, dice and add the onions.

8) When the meatballs are crispy and brown, pour in the chopped tomatoes and bring to a simmer.

9) Finish off the sauce by adding the basil leaves.

10) Serve over your choice of pasta and enjoy!
